How to reach Munich and the Conference Venue

Arrival by plane

Munich Airport is Germany's second-largest airport and guarantees excellent continental and intercontinental air connections. More than 100 airlines fly to about 250 destinations in more than 70 countries.

Additional information about the airport and about current flight connections is available at the website of the Munich Airport: www.munich-airport.de.

You can reach the workshop venue and the hotels from the airport as follows:

By taxi
In normal traffic conditions, the journey will take about 40 minutes and will cost around Euro 60.00 excluding extras for luggage and night charge.

By public transport
The suburban train lines S1 and S8 connect the airport with the city center in approximately 35 minutes. With the train you can directly reach the Conference venue by getting off the train at station: "Rosenheimerplatz" which is situated within the same building complex. Tickets have to be purchased at the ticket machines. The one-way ticket costs around EUR 10,80.

By Lufthansa airport bus
The Lufthansa Airport Bus is a quick, inexpensive and comfortable way to get from the airport to the city and back. Our buses depart at convenient 20-minute intervals from the terminals and at the central area at the airport. We proceed from there directly to the Munich North stop and the Munich Center / Main train station stop. The one-way ticket costs approx. EUR 10,50 and may be purchased on board. For more information visit the website: www.airportbus-muenchen.de

In order to reach the conference venue you get off at Munich Center / Main train station, purchase a public transport ticket and take one of the suburban trains to "Rosenheimerplatz" where the Conference venue is located.

Arrival by train

Munich has two railway stations: Munich Main Station and Munich Ostbahnhof. We suggest you to arrive at Munich Ostbahnhof since this is the closest to the Conference venue. You take one of the suburban trains which go direction Main Sation / City Center and get off at the first station, "Rosenheimerplatz". This just takes about 3 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket machines. The one-way ticket for short distances costs around EUR 1,20 in case your train ticket does not include public transport.
